We’re looking for a Social Media Manager with 3–5 years of experience to lead social media for sports brands, tournaments, leagues, associations, academies, athletes and sports-tech clients. You’ll own strategy, tournament communication, live-event coverage, community engagement, sponsor deliverables and performance reporting while coordinating with clients, creative teams and on-ground production teams.
What we’re looking for
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Advertising, Mass Communication, Media, Sports Management, Business or a related field
- 3–5 years of experience in social media or digital marketing
- Experience working with sports, tournaments, events, fitness or related brands is preferred
- Strong understanding of Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, YouTube, X and Meta platforms
- Experience in social media strategy, content planning and campaign execution
- Understanding of sports content, live-event communication and community management
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to coordinate with clients, designers, editors, photographers and on-ground teams
- Good knowledge of analytics, reporting and performance tracking
- Ability to manage multiple accounts, campaigns and deadlines
- Excellent attention to match scores, player details, schedules and live updates
- Willingness to work flexible hours during tournaments, events and match days
- Good to have: sports sponsorships, influencer marketing, UGC and ORM experience
- Good to have: paid campaigns for registrations, ticketing and event promotions
- Working knowledge of Meta Business Suite, Instagram Insights, LinkedIn Analytics and YouTube Studio
- Exposure to AI tools such as ChatGPT, Gemini, Midjourney, Adobe Firefly or Runway is preferred
- Experience mentoring junior social media executives or interns is preferred
What you’ll do
- Develop and manage social media strategies for sports brands, tournaments, leagues, associations, academies and athletes
- Create monthly content calendars and tournament-specific communication plans
- Manage pre-event, live-event and post-event social media coverage
- Publish fixtures, schedules, scores, results, player features, highlights and winner announcements
- Plan reels, stories, interviews, behind-the-scenes content, polls, quizzes and community formats
- Coordinate with designers, video editors, photographers, videographers and on-ground teams
- Ensure timely and accurate execution during tournaments and match days
- Manage sponsor and partner deliverables, visibility and digital commitments
- Handle client communication, content approvals, tournament updates and internal briefs
- Monitor comments, messages, audience queries and reputation-related issues
- Identify sports trends, competitor activity and real-time moment-marketing opportunities
- Track reach, engagement, audience growth, registrations and other relevant metrics
- Prepare performance reports with clear observations and recommendations
- Plan tournament shoots, player interviews, match-day coverage and production requirements
- Maintain accuracy across match information, player names, scores and schedules
- Mentor junior team members and review their work
- Manage multiple sports accounts and ensure delivery within agreed timelines
